Community education about common ailments in neurology with a special emphasis on preventive aspects is conducted by the department on special occasions like World Epilepsy and Stroke day. In order to improve the standard of care at the grassroots levels, Community health camps and outreach services are conducted under Vajapayee Arogya scheme to the rural population in and around Mysuru district.
