I have been working in the field of anaesthesia for the past 20 years. The initial 7 years after postgraduation were dedicated to a corporate hospital where I learnt the skills and knowledge to manage complicated cardiac cases both in OT and cath lab. Later in 2011, I joined this prestigious institution which provided me the opportunity to disclose my talents and abilities in the field of anaesthesia, other associated and non associated specialities. The varied type of anaesthetic challenges posed every day in all the departments ranging from general surgery to neurosurgery, endoscopic procedures to transplant surgeries have not only given that extra confidence, but also made me eager to sharpen my skills and update the existing knowledge regularly for providing ultimate patient care. The constant opportunities provided in our medical college to upgrade ourselves in the field of education and medical services has given me that extra boost to constantly keep in pace with the growing trends and pass on the knowledge to the next generation. As a medical professional and specifically in the field of anaesthesia, my only goal is to ensure patient safety, minimize complications and satisfactorily save lives.
