Profile

I joined JSS Medical College in the department of Biochemistry in the year 2017 and currently working as Assistant Professor. As a Medical Biochemist in the Clinical Biochemistry laboratory, JSS Hospital, I am actively involved in implementing analytical procedures and evaluating the data to give quality reports. I have successfully completed the training on “Quality Management System and Internal Audit in Medical Labs as per ISO 15189-2012”. I am involved in teaching medical students of different courses and actively involved in the research activities in the department. I am a member of SIG on Human Genomics and Rare Disorders. I have successfully competed ICMR-NIRRH, Applications of technologies in Genomics for Clinical Research course, sponsored by Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. My thrust areas of research include obesity, metabolic syndrome and epigenetics.
