She has obtained her master’s degree in Medical Biochemistry from Manipal Academy of Higher education with distinction to her credit.Her Doctoral degree is in the field of Cancer genetics from JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research. She is presently working as an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry in JSS Medical College Mysore. She has over 20 years of Teaching and Diagnostic experience. Her previous employments were at JJM Medical College and SSIMSR Davangere. Her Current area of research is on Cervical carcinoma. She has authored research papers and is a lifetime member of Society of Biological Chemists, India. She has experience in the field of Transcriptomics and cell culture techniques.
