As an ENT and Head and Neck surgeon I am working with JSS hospital for more than 29 years .Joined JSSMC after Fellowship programme in Head and Neck Oncology at Kidwai Institute of Oncology. As the chief of head and neck surgery unit, we are doing voice preservation surgeries, laryngectomies, skull base surgeries, rehabilitation surgeries and support to cancer patients. I have started doing sleep apnoea surgeries with modern equipments like diode laser and coblator and stepped into cochlear implantation field. I did my Fellowship programme in OSA and Robotic surgery at PiertoniniMorgagni Hospital under Prof.ClaudioVicini,Italy.Apart from publications in various National and International publications I am actively involved as a resource person for various workshops and training programmes in India. I am involved in making Indian guidelines for Common cancers of Head and Neck. I am constantly upgrading my skills and knowledge through international trainings and my aim is to deliver world class treatment and care to the needy at affordable rates . I am actively involved in various national academic bodies.I have guided medical students in short term projects under ICMR, and guided many postgraduates in various projects. I want to continue my basic research in Head and Neck cancer and deafness and to design indigenous, affordable implants.
