He is an Otorhinolaryngologist and head and neck surgeon by profession, a teacher and researcher by passion. He completed his M.S in ENT and Head and neck from the University of Gulbarga in the year 1992 with Distinction Following which, he served for society through the prestigious JSS Hospital Mysuru. He has worked at several levels of hierarchy in JSS over the past 27 Years and is currently the professor and Head of department of ENT. When asked about his achievements he said “I’m proud and honored to be HOD and to be able to lead my team at JSS hospital and hope to take the department to greater heights”.
His personal interests in the field of ENT have been otology, skull base, and laser surgeries. He has always kept his eyes and ears open to recent advances in the field and tried to implement them in his practice. He strongly believed in continuous medical education and has supported and organized many workshops, CMEs and conferences after he was given the post of HOD.
He also has been the teacher and guide for undergraduates and postgraduates for many years. Trained over 60 M. S and DLO candidates. His students have always admired his teaching and training skills and have always felt free to approach him for help. He always says “I’m proud and happy to also convey that all my student as doing well at renowned institutes, making JSSAHER proud”
