Profile

Dr Soumya Rajshekar Patil is an assistant professor in the department of OBG in JSS Medical college, Mysuru. 

She graduated from Belgaum institute of medical sciences, Belagavi, completed her Post-graduation from Jawaharlal Nehru medical college, Belagavi and eventually worked as a senior resident at the same institution for a period of 5 months.

She is trained in basic and advanced Gynecological endoscopy at Bangalore endoscopy surgical training Centre, Bengaluru (recognized by FOGSI) for a period of 6 months.

Her passion for teaching has led her to choose medical education and made her join this prestigious institution. She is actively involved in teaching under-graduates and post-graduates. She has special interest in minimally invasive gynecological surgery and Infertility.

  1. Sub Investigator to the ‘WHO CHAMPION TRAIL’ sponsored by Department of reproductive health and research, World Health Organisation, Geneva, Switzerland.
  2. Participation in reseach project “Maternal DHA supplementation and offspring Neurodevelopment in India (DHANI) – 2015-2017 by Department of OBG KLE University’s JNMC, Belagavi, Karnataka in collaboration with Public health foundation of India, Delhi NCR
  3. Completed Master training in Post Partum IUCD at the training programme conducted by FOGSI for FIGO FOGSI PPIUCD initiative in 2018 
  4. Trained in basic and advanced laparoscopic skills at BEST Institue and research centre, Bangalore
  5. Trained in basic skills of Obstetrics and gynecologiocal ultrasound by Mediscan systems, Chennai in collaboration with ISUOG.  (ISUOG basic training Certificate course in ultrasound)

Rare Case Management

Managed many obstetrics and gynec complicated cases.
