Dr. Prashanth S N graduated from Mysore Medical College in the year 1992 (1986-1992), did Postgraduation (MD) in Pediatrics at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal in the year 1996 (1993-1986) and DNB in Pediatrics in 1997 (Practical examination at JIPMER, Pondicherry). Passed graduation, postgraduation & DNB in the first attempt itself.
Joined JSS Medical College on 27th July 1997 as lecturer in the department of pediatrics. Since then working in the same Institute at various capacities. Presently working as Professor & Unit chef in the department of Pediatrics in JSS Medical College & Hospital.
Has been a postgraduate & an undergraduate Teacher for the last 24 years. Has guided MD Dissertations for various postgraduate students since last 18 years.
Has 12 publications various National & International Journals. As completed two ICMR projects as Co- Investigator and one DST project. Has One ICMR Project going on.
Has been involved in 3 vaccine trials as Co- Investigator which are ongoing.
Was called as an external inspector for LIC Inspection of Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health in the year 2020.
Actively involved in the activities of IAP (Indian Academy of Pediatrics) & has served the body under various following capacities.
National Master Trainer in ATM (Asthma Training Module) and Vaccinology Course.
Has been called as an invited Speaker in most of the State & National Pediatric Conferences.
Received the Prestigious National Award-FIAP (Fellow of Indian Academy of Pediatrics) at Indoor in Jan 2021 during National Pediatric Conference.
