I, Dr. Sudha Kiran Das, am working as a Professor in the Department of Radiodiagnosis.
I completed my undergraduate medical training from Christian Medical College & Hospital, Vellore in the year 1996. The interim years was well spent in rural health care service. I pursued my post-graduate studies in the field of Radiodiagnosis also under the aegis of my alma mater [2003-2007].
Following my post-graduation, I worked as a Consultant Radiologist at the CSI Holdsworth Memorial Hospital, Mysuru closing to a period of 4years, following which I have been associated with JSS Medical College and Hospital Mysuru for over a decade, serving both in the domains of academic and clinical radiology.
In keeping with the curriculum, I am involved in teaching the undergraduates and training postgraduate students. I also co-ordinate the academic activities for BSc Medical Imaging Technology course. My academic pursuits ramify beyond nurturing the in-house graduate doctors and paramedicals, to online teaching. The Radiology teaching website (jssmcaradiology.com) was conceptualised by me nearly a decade back. In continuum to designing the website, I worked in association with the team in the capacity of Editor for over 7 years. Today, the same is being reformatted under the wings of Elsevier group as Radiology Teaching Files.
The objective of education is not teaching but learning. In sync with this, I am pursuing my PhD in the field of paediatric neuroradiology pertaining to the birth asphyxia in neonates. Research is pivotal to growth, as an ode to this I have about 30 odd publications in various national and international journals and a few ongoing studies related to SARS-CoV 2 infection.
My field of interest and forte is abdominal radiology. In addition to this I also have a keen interest in pediatric and cardiac radiology. I am quite adept at performing a wide variety of non-vascular guided procedures which are routinely done in the d

As a radiologist, I am humbled to part of the medical team at JSS Medical College and Hospital who work in various capacities & disciplines towards unravelling the mysterious and rare diseases.
