Artificial Limp Center

JSS Hospital established an Artificial Limb Centre in its campus in 1996. It has been the constant endeavour of the JSS Hospital to provide aids/appliances to disabled persons at minimum cost. The requirement for providing aids/ appliances, which are essential for the social, Economic and vocational rehabilitation of disabled persons, has been fulfilled after establishment of this centre.

Dept of Artificial limb center provide every solution for prosthesis and orthosis requirements.

PROSTHETIC AND ORTHOTIC SERVICES

The rehabilitation assistive aids/appliances are planned, designed, fabricated and modified to fit immobilized or dysfunctional part of the body for people with special needs to bring back their normal function with the help of prosthetics. Top priority is given to individual’s specific requirement. People who require these aids/appliances are identified by the department not only through walk-ins.

SOCIO-ECONOMIC SERVICES

Various government schemes covering these benefits are explained to the patient during the counselling process. Information related to new devices for rehabilitation available in the market is given to people with special needs during the facilitation process.

• Training to MSW students on rehabilitation for socio-economic impact relating disability
• Develop new design and material trail for technical students who come up with projects from sister concern colleges such as SJCE, Polytechnic for differently abled and SAHAN school.
