The department of CTVS was started with the view of providing facilities of international standards to the patients at an affordable cost.

The department of cardio thoracic surgery has been functional from the past 8 years. It serves the population of Mysore and the surrounding districts. Our highly trained team of surgeons, cardiac anaesthetists, nurses, physician assistants, physiotherapists and other care givers work as a team to provide the expertise and resources required to make cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery in the adults and the children, with their stay in the hospital, both comfortable and successful.

Our physician assistants guide the patients from evaluation to post operative period and beyond which makes it easier for the patients and the relatives to understand the process of cardiac surgery and also eases their stress by being a friendly and familiar face which they can count on. The patient is guided by our physician assistant to get the pre-operative tests done, educate the patients and their relatives about the process of the surgery and make sure the surgery goes on well. They will also contact you once you are discharged and will call you at home to make sure you’re feeling well and your medications are correct. JSS department of cardio thoracic and vascular surgery has the super specialty center with the state of the art cutting edge therapies with compassionate care through expertise and technology.

This Centre has 14 beds in the ward, 6 beds in the step down ICU and 10 beds in the CTVS intensive care with 2 operating rooms one modular another steel O T and providing 24/7 emergency care. The intensive care unit has 10 fully equipped beds and has all the moderns supportive equipment’s and monitoring systems
