Dr. Bhagyalakshmi Avinash

Dr. Bhagyalakshmi Avinash completed her BDS in 2003, MDS in 2007 from Government Dental College & Research Centre, Bangalore, Ph.D. in 2017 from JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research and FAIMER Fellowship (Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education & Research) from MAHE, Manipal in the year 2020. She is associated with JSS DCH since 2008; She is presently a Reader with a teaching experience of 14 years. She is a recognized Ph.D. and PG Guide. Her areas of interest include Invisible Orthodontics, Functional Jaw Orthopaedics, Airway Orthodontics, and Geographic Information System (GIS). She is a Certified Invisalign and Myobrace Provider. She has 36 research publications to her credit. Having worked with one of the busiest Government Dental Colleges in the country during her UG and PG studies has inclined her towards good patient care and time management. Being a Ph.D. holder has made her involve in Research activities with special interests in Mouth Breathing, Airway Orthodontics & GIS applications for epidemiological studies. She is a Consultant at Breathe Healthy, Special Clinic, JSS Hospital, Mysore which is an Interprofessional Healthcare Team working for the management of patients with Airway Centered Disorders. Having a FAIMER fellowship to her credit, she has been an edupreneur and shows a keen interest in Interprofessional Collaborative Projects. Apart from academics, being good at cultural activities has made her take a good stand in her overall performance.
