Dr Lakshmi Nagendra has established the Bone Clinic at JSS Medical College, focusing on improving the diagnosis and management of osteoporosis and other metabolic bone disorders. Her work spans clinical practice, teaching, and research, with a particular interest in diabetes and bone health. Recognized with several awards, including the Pierre Meunier Young Scientist Award, ESI AV Gandhi award and the RSSDI Young Investigator Award, Dr. Nagendra also contributes to academic publishing as a reviewer and editorial board member for various National and International journals.
