I underwent undergraduate training from JSS Medical College, RGUHS (2007-2013). I enrolled into Anaesthesia residency in 2014 at Yenepoya Medical College, Mangalore. Following her MD in 2017, I have been working as a Senior Resident at JSS Medical College Hospital. My long term goals includes implementing structured protocols and multidisciplinary approach for a holistic perioperative management. I enjoy teaching the postgraduates.

I recently undertook a two and half years international fellowship programme in Anaesthesiology and Intensive care in the United Kingdom where I had the opportunity to advance my academic and clinical career and work in a tertiary care trauma and transplant centre, tertiary care obstetric centre. I gained experience in trauma and hepatobiliary anaesthesia including dedicated time in liver transplant as well as critical care and enhanced perioperative care and ERAS pathways. I was also successful in achieving European Diploma in Anaesthesia and Intensive care and the Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists.

During my time in the National Health Services, UK, I gained insight into a different healthcare system, the importance of accountability, critical incident reporting, Audits, Quality Improvement projects and multidisciplinary team management.

As part of postgraduate training, was rotated in various operation theaters including surgery, orthopedics, ENT, ophthalmology, obstetrics, gynecology, surgical oncology, pediatric surgery, plastic surgery, Facio-maxillary and Dental/Oral surgery, urology, neurosurgery and cardiothoracic surgery.
Have been trained in Non-operative room anesthesia including anesthesia for radiology and endoscopy.
Have been trained in Anaesthesia for Robotic surgery and Transplant surgery.
Have been trained in ICU care and Pain and palliative care.
Have been trained in pre-anesthesia and post-anesthesia care.
Have had hands on experience in delivering anesthesia independently including general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, neural blocks and local anesthesia.
Have been exposed to emergency care which included anesthesia for emergency surgery including trauma.
Have experience in emergency room procedures including airway management, Basic and Advanced life support.
Have attended courses and workshops at the hospital's simulation centre (ACTS- YEN)
