Dr. T. S. Rekha is working as Associate Professor at Department of Pathology, JSS Medical College, Mysore since 15 years with a passion to teach medical undergraduates, postgraduates and paramedical students. JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSSAHER), has awarded Ph. D in Medicine in 2020 for her thesis “Potential of angiogenic markers in neoplastic lesions of breast for early diagnosis and targeted therapy” and a pioneer Ph. D in her department. She graduated MD (Pathology) and MBBS from JSS Medical college and has rich experience in Cytology, Hematology, Histopathology and Clinical Pathology with special interest in Oncopathology and Research. She was trained in reputed academic instituions such as St. John’s Medical College and Hospital, Bengaluru and Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru and worked in several private laboratory as Consultant Pathologist. She has several publications in both national and international journals and completed research projected funded from Indian Council for Medical Research and JSSAHER. In collaboration with Department of Biology, Georgia State University, Atlanta, she has worked on Artificial Intelligence based projects on breast carcinoma. She is currently involved in Triple Negative Breast Cancer research project funded by JSSAHER. She is NABL certified Internal Auditor and Quality Management Systems and Lab In-charge of Clinical Laboratory. She has been awarded for best poster and group research presentations. She has guided several Pathology postgraduates, in-charge of Department Museum development and awaiting for Ph. D guideship approval.
