Dr. K G Shivakumar is a Senior Resident in Department of Anesthesiology at JSS Medical College and Hospital, Mysuru and has been working with the institution for the past 1 year. After completing his MBBS in Sri Siddhartha Medical College, Tumkur (2003 to 2008), he joined primary health center in a remote village in Bandipur National Reserve Park, Chamarajanagar District and served the tribal people for six months and then joined primary health center in chikkamagalur district and served rural population for more than 2 years. After which he joined esteemed JSS Medical College under Preventive and Social Medicine Department in the year 2014 as a medical officer in JSS Hospital, Suttur and served the free hostel children, old age home residents and the rural population and was also involved in aiding for studies involving telemedicine equipments. He pursued MD Anaesthesiology in Yenepoya Medical College, Mangalore(20017-2020) he was also selected as Secreatary for Junior Doctors Association, Karntaka, South Zone during post-graduation. And he rejoined JSS Medical College and Hospital in 2020 as a Senior Resident in Anaesthesia department.
