Dr Preethi S.P, Associate Professor of Surgery, with an experience of 15 years, is an undergraduate from Sri Devaraj Urs Medical college, completed MS ( Gen surgery ) from JSS Medical College, obtaining 9th rank at RGUHS, MRCS from The Royal college of Surgeons of Edinburgh(U.K.) and Fellowship in Minimal access and Bariatric Surgery from Max hospital, Delhi. A qualified Endoscopist and Laparoscopic surgeon, doing various Laparoscopic and major open surgeries like Cancer surgeries, various abdominal surgeries ( gall bladder, hernia, appendix, intestine ) Thyroid, Breast surgeries, Emergency Accident surgeries etc. Apart from undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, has many publications in national and international journals, given guest lectures at different forums and judged poster and paper presentations at state and national level conferences. Actively involved in institutional developmental activities and has held positions like Joint Secretary of Academic Society, Member of Anti Ragging committee, Member of Board of studies, Member of cultural committee, Member of Surgical Site Infection committee etc. Has organised programmes like JSS Surgicraft 2013, Convenor of CME on Benign breast disease in Nov 2015 and Joint secretary of KSC – ASICON 2015, Member of Reception committee at ASICON 2016 and Co - Organising secretary and Head of Scientific Committee at Midcon 2018.
