The department of Urology at the JSS Hospital, offers comprehensive urological services for the diagnosis and the treatment of kidney diseases, urological cancers, prostatic disease. Department also have dedicated urological subspeciality clinics in female urology, andrology, neuro-urology, Uro- oncology and renal transplant. The department has 5 experienced faculty headed by Dr.Amruthraj. G. Gowda.
Our department is regularly performing advanced surgeries on prostate, vascular access for hemodialysis, laparoscopic procedures, radical cancer surgeries such as radical nephrectomy, radical cystectomy and retro peritoneal lymphadenectomy. Our department is specially equipped with holmium laser and flexible ureteroscopy to perform RIRS and a dedicated urodynamic study lab for neuro-urological problems assessment.
Our aim is to offer you the highest standards of urological care which is cost effective to the patients. The department caters to an average of 40,000 outpatients a year hailing from Mysuru & neighboring districts. Our department carries out 1700 major and 2100 minor operation in a year.
Our department has separate Urology ward with 40 beds, dedicated 3 Urology OT, Kidney Transplant Unit and departmental library.
The Department of Urology is also recognised by the Medical Council of India for MCh Urology.

Regular outpatient for stone disease, Female Urology, Urological malignance, Pediatric Urology, Urodynamic & Uroflowmetry, Lower urinary tract symptoms including stricture diseases, BPH
IPD
Renal transplant surgery, Ureteroscopy, TURP and TURBT, PCNL, Pediatric Urology Surgeries, Nephrectomy, radical cystectomy
Special/Evening/Daycare Clinics
Minimal invasive procedures like ureteroscopy / TURP and PCNL, Andrology, Renal transplant (co-ordinate with Nephrology)
