World DNA Day 2026 marks both the 73rd anniversary of the discovery of the double helix structure and the 23rd anniversary of the completion of the Human Genome Project.

DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) serves as the biological instruction manual for life. Structurally, it is shaped as a double helix, resembling a twisted ladder. This structure is composed of four chemical bases: Adenine (A), Thymine (T), Cytosine (C), and Guanine (G).
