Dr Kiran H. S is a dedicated, ethical & empathetic physician & a good teacher. As a teacher & physician in the department of General Medicine, he has distinguished himself for his unique & innovative approach to teaching and is liked by his students and patients. He is a Rank holder (SSLC – 4th rank, Karnataka state; Final MBBS – 7th rank, Mysore University; PGDTSP- Distinction; FAIMER fellowship-Distinction). He did his MBBS from Mysore Medical College and MD in General Medicine from KMC-Mangalore (MAHE) and started his career at KMC, Manipal (MAHE) as Assistant Professor. He joined JSS Medical College & Hospital in the year 2004 and today is Professor of Medicine. He has earned two additional qualifications after undergoing two Additional courses (PGDTSP & FAIMER fellowship-with Distinction). His area of special interest is Metacognition – clinical reasoning. He has 25 Publications including publication of every genre (Original article, Medical education research, Review article, Teaching round, case reports, Image, Department newsletter, college magazine, etc. He is known for his Honesty, Sincerity, Integrity, character, role model, loyalty to the institution, patient concern/care and Socratic-method of teaching with excellent student feedback
