Dr. Tejashree. A is a passionate tecaher and a committed researcher. As Professor of Microbiology, she has distinguised herself in the field of Microbiology and is admired by students for her teaching skills. She has completed her MD in Microbiology and was the first MD postgraduate student of the department. She started her career as a faculty at JSSMC in the year 1994 and now working as Professor and Head of Microbiology. When asked about the organization she said, I am proud to be the alumni of JSS and thank the organization for giving me an opportunity to serve this institute and would attribute all this to the academic excellence and friendly environment of the institute which made me what I am today. Her area of diagnostic and research interest is in Mycobacteriology and Infectious diseases, which she has several research publications to her credit and also 2 minor projects under RNTCP, Govt of India. She has guided several MD, M.Sc postgraduates and currently guiding.
6 Ph.D students, 5 M.Sc Postgraduates on various topics of Diagnostic Microbiology. She is well recognized for her organizing capacity and was actively involved during several conferences and CME’s organized by the department. She is involved in several committees in the institution as Chairperson for literary committee, secretary of academic society and Board of member of studies for UG, PG and Lifesciences.
