Dr. Vidyavathi B. Chitharagi is an assistant Professor in the dept of Microbiology and has been involved in teaching postgraduate and undergraduate students from past 10 years. Apart from teaching, she is involved in diagnostics microbiology. Her area of interest is in Clinical mycology and antimicrobial resistance. She has completed diagnostic medical mycology training course from prestigious international society for Human and animal mycology (ISHAM) and antimicrobial stewardship course from JIPMER, Pondicherry. She has more than 25 publications in national and international journals to her credit. She has guided many M.Sc postgraduates on various topics in completion of their dissertation projects and MBBS students in proposal submission and completion of ICMR STS projects. She is currently working on the major project sanctioned from ICMR on Sexually transmitted infections among Tribal women.
