Profile

I am privileged to be the alumni of this prestigious institution, having done both my graduation and Post-graduation from JSS Medical College, Mysore. After my post-graduation, I worked as a Clinical Biochemist in Apollo BGS Hospitals, Mysore, for 3+ years and then joined JSS Medical College in 2014. I am currently working as Assistant professor in the Dept. of Biochemistry. I am very passionate to establish research career in the area of diabetes and associated co-morbidity with a goal to understand basic mechanisms and develop interventional strategies, which could aid in improving health of diabetic patients. I have obtained pilot funding from JSS University, to screen phytochemicals for modifying glucose and lipid metabolism. As a Medical Biochemist in the Clinical Biochemistry laboratory, JSS Hospital, I have been providing diagnostics information by maintaining and implementing analytical procedures and evaluating data and reporting results. I have been instrumental in the laboratory quality assurance programs and is actively involved in preparation and implementation of protocols and procedures related to NABH/NABL accreditation.
