Profile

I, Dr. Rakesh BS, an adept Otorhinolaryngologist working as an Assistant professor in the Department of ENT of JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research. After pursuing  Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree at our institute under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Mysore from 1998 to 2003, did my Master's in ENT at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College under Rani Durgavati University, Jabalpur from 2006 to 2009.

I served as a hardworking Senior Resident in this institute’s ENT department for 2 years since 2009. Then, promoted as an Assistant professor in 2011 and continued to serve here to this date. Finished my fellowship at the Medical University of Schleswig-Holstein in Luebeck, Germany. Additionally,  I am a member of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India, Association of Otolaryngologists of India – Karnataka chapter, and Federation Of Head and Neck Organization.

As I am interested in teaching, have been a faculty for undergraduates and postgraduates in our institute for the past 12 years and am a dedicated guide for many postgraduates. I am sincerely committed to care patients as well as the community. Moreover, I have been successful in maintaining good networking relationships for many years.

My area of Clinical & Research interest is Head & Neck Surgery, Laryngology, and Airway Surgery. Therefore, I attended several workshops, seminars at national and international conferences and also presented a poster in ‘89 Annual Congress 2018’ in Luebeck, Germany.
