Dr Nemichandra is always passionate about teaching youngsters especially the post medicine graduates who work in the department. He actively participates academically in journal club presentations or seminars held in the department.
Being a clinician, every case is quite challenging until a right diagnosis is made. The patient aged 28yrs old primigravidae had seizures and blurring of vision (PRES- Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome) on 48hrs after delivery. She subsequently developed weakness of both lower and upper limbs being diagnosed as Guillian Bare Syndrome. Here a mother in her postnatal period having a seizure itself is a high risk, adding to it she had neuropathy mentioned above. She was managed rightly by the team of neurology including Dr Nemichandra, helping the mother to recover from the illness wherein both central and peripheral nervous system were involved. This story would have had the complicated end if not managed well and led to weakness of diaphragmatic muscles and respiratory arrest or death .This is just an example of the team or the Department of neurology.
Dr Nemichandra is an alumini of JSSAHER, finished DM neurology in 2018.He has many National and International publications to his credit. He has published his research work in reputed journals and has given talks in major conferences. His key areas of interest being Migraine, Parkinson’s disease and Stroke .
